    Product Description

Farmers in the mountainous Ahuachapan region were the first to grow coffee in El Salvador, with seeds brought from Guatemala in the last years of the 1700s. Santa Matilde, nestled in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec mountain range, is run by the Ariz-Herrera family, who have brought sustainability, social responsibility, and employment to local communities for five generations spanning over 100 years. The coffee is washed and dried on raised beds and hot, clay patios on the farm.
